This free class will be offered at the library, in our meeting room, or amphitheater every First and third Friday of the month (the location of Tai Chi depends on the weather and other scheduled programs).
Tai Chi is a standing and slow-moving mind-body practice called “moving meditation.” The principles learned and practiced in this ongoing class will help create well-being in both body and mind. You will learn a series of Tai Chi postures, also known as a “form,” and can begin at any time, as the principles and techniques will be repeated and practiced in each class.
Your teacher is Bayley Thompson, a NASM Certified Personal Trainer and an AFAA Certified Group Exercise Instructor. She has been learning and practicing traditional Yang style Tai Chi Chuan for over a decade and is a certified instructor of Dr. Keith Jeffery’s “Easy Tai Chi” method and the Infinite Nine form.
Benefits of Tai Chi Include:
Stress Reduction
Better Focus
Increased Flexibility
Improved Strength
Enhanced Immune System
Better Balance
Improved Memory
Improved Circulation
Increased Coordination
No Tai Chi experience is needed to attend.
