Citizens For Hopkins issued the following announcement on March 3.
City police have identified the murder suspect and victim related to Monday’s double homicide investigation at a home off Epworth Lane.
The victim is Patricia J. Murphy, 57 of Owensboro, Owensboro Police Department reported this afternoon.
The suspect has been identified as 68-year-old Donald L. Murphy of Owensboro.
At this point, police stated they believe “Donald Murphy took his own life after shooting and killing Patricia Murphy.”
The investigation is ongoing.
