City of Carrollton issued the following announcement.
The Glow Run 5k/1 mile is a brand new run located at McInnish Park. This family friendly event with take place in the evening for maximum GLOW and include tickets to a Silent Disco After Party!

Lace up your sneakers and get ready to glow during our first ever night run! This run is far from your average glow in the dark event…you will have the opportunity to participate in a Silent Disco Party during the run! What is Silent Disco? By using a special pair of noise-canceling headphones, you can gather with others who have done the same. Then, tune into one or multiple channels of music, while simultaneously combining the tunes with other runners…resulting in you dancing like no one is watching! Keep your headphones on for the Glow After Party, where you can continue dancing, grab a bite, and soak-in your accomplishment!
Notes: The 1 mile is not a timed event. Registration by 9/23 guarantees your “Glow Gear”, T-shirt, and timing chip (not guaranteed if you register after 9/23). The After Party can be attended without participating in the race, headphones (for those not participating in the 1 mile and 5K) will be available for rental at $5. Dogs are allowed to run at no additional charge but will not be awarded.
