Citizens for Hopkins issued the following announcement on Sept 19.
A ribbon cutting has been scheduled to celebrate the completion of the latest expansion of the West Kentucky Archery Complex, county officials reported today.
The new Outdoor Archery Pavilion, 3100 Grapevine Road in Madisonville, is adjacent to the Indoor Archery Range. Hopkins County officials will mark the special occassion 11 a.m. Tuesday alongside Hopkins County Regional Chamber of Commerce.
Members of the West Kentucky Archery Association, the Hopkins County Tourist and Convention Commission and members of Hopkins County Fiscal Court will attend. Local students will be on hand to demonstrate their archery skills.
The pavilion was funded by the West Kentucky Archery Association, the Hopkins County Tourist and Convention Commission, the Hopkins County Fiscal Court in addition to a Land and Water Conservation grant.
